A great container is the sum of everything that happens to it.
That is why we keep so many services in-house at our 150,000 square foot South Carolina facility: engineering, manufacturing, finishing, structural testing, and repair. Your project gets some or all of them, whatever it takes to make the final container the best it can be.
You are not hiring services one at a time. You are getting a build where the engineers walk the production floor, the paint booth sits steps from the weld line, and the people who designed your container are the ones who test it before it ships. Backed by a manufacturer warranty.
Our Services
Engineering Design
Engineering comes standard with every custom build. Bring requirements, sketches, or finished drawings and our engineers design the structure, the modification package, and the systems around what the container actually needs to do. Then the same company builds it, which keeps the design honest. No throwing drawings over a wall.
NexGen builds things most container shops cannot: expandable shelters, radiation-shielded rooms, radar-transparent structures, multi-temperature refrigeration, and the list goes on.
Manufacturing
Our production line can turn out 2,000+ standard ISO containers and 500+ custom containers a year. Certified welders. Metal fabrication and composite panel fabrication side by side. Volume capacity with custom-shop flexibility, which is a rare combination in American container manufacturing.
Already have engineered drawings? We also build-to-print for containers and container-related equipment like skids and enclosures.
Finishing
Finishing is where containers go to rust or last. Every build gets the full treatment before it leaves:
- Abrasive blasting to prep every surface
- 200 ft paint booth for consistent coatings on full-length containers
- Custom paint, CARC (mil-spec), marine coatings, powder coat, and galvanizing
- Custom labels, decals, graphics, stenciling, data plates, QR codes, and NSN marking
Testing
We structurally test containers in-house to ISO 1496 and CSC requirements. Stacking, lifting, racking - the loads a container sees in real intermodal service, applied before it ever leaves the yard.
The whole operation runs under an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, and finished containers carry CSC certification for ocean and intermodal transport. Testing in-house means we find problems on our floor instead of yours.
Repair & Refurbish
The same capabilities that build containers bring them back. Any manufacturer’s containers can come to us for structural repair, corrosion treatment, re-blasting and repainting, door and seal replacement, or a full interior refit.
- Repair and refurbishment for any brand of ISO container or shelter
- CSC recertification after repair, so a refurbished box goes back into certified service
- Field service available when the container cannot come to us
Fleet owners and program managers: if you have a yard full of tired containers, that is exactly the call we want.
Want all of this behind your next container?
